Food Distribution Flier: English or Spanish

Food distribution has been modified to drive-thru format as a special precaution as we do our part to slow the spread of COVID-19. We ask that families and individuals please remain in their vehicle during pick-up.

Our supply of both fresh and nonperishable food items is made possible thanks to Feeding San Diego, the San Diego Food Bank and Smart Food Foundation.

Over the past two weeks, over 1,200 families have driven through to receive bags of healthy food at school sites where distributions are hosted. SBCS staff and volunteers assemble and pass out the grocery bags in addition to covering other important logistics of the process. Chula Vista police officers and city councilmembers as well as members of the SBCS Board of Directors also regularly lend a hand.

One recipient said: “Thank you so much. Everything was so easy for us and we were able to get our food just by driving through. The food was also things we could use. We are so thankful.”
