"Some people, when they think shelter, they think … a thousand beds with a thousand families. But when we got to Casa Seguras, it was completely different. It was a little apartment complex with a playground and a place for teens to hang out. Everyone was friendly and it was really nice. Now I'm not abused, I don't get hit, I don't get shouted at, and I don't feel the pressure that dad's coming home and he might do something to me."

– Jesus, 14 years old.
