40 Hour Domestic Violence

Counselor Training & Certification

Help stop the cycle of violence by supporting victims and help them develop the skills they need to leave an abusive relationship and live a safe and self-sufficient life. SBCS' 40-hour training provides graduates with a Certificate of Completion that will enable them to pursue volunteer and employment opportunities working directly with survivors of domestic violence in California. Completion of this training meets the requirements set by California Evidence Code 1037.1 for designation as a Domestic Violence Counselor.
