Violence and the threat of violence in the home impacts a whole family especially children and youth.

Each year, hundreds of families seek help or shelter due to domestic violence. Hundreds of children are affected by this violence, impacting their development, education and overall health. Victims often feel alone with nowhere to turn to for help. They can be left homeless. A whole community is impacted.

For this reason, SBCS has developed innovative and one of a kind programs through the support of the community. SBCS responds to the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors to ensure that the youngest victims have the support they need to heal and have a solid foundation for a better tomorrow.

Each year, hundreds turn to SBCS for help and support. Each year, because of support from the community, SBCS is able to provide emergency and transitional shelters, counseling, job readiness and a therapeutic preschool that has been proven to change the academic trajectory of your little ones.
